A Camping Adventure In Perth Australia

Australia is a beautiful country to visit. With many attractions and much natural beauty it is definitely a country that should be on everyone’s list of places to visit. One exceptionally beautiful place to visit in Australia is Perth, here you can enjoy and exiting adventure campervan camping adventure while you explore the area around you.

Hire Your Campervan

Before you head off on your camping adventure you will need a campervan to do your camping in. Campervan hire Perth with Drivenow is your best option when it comes to easily booking your campervan for your entire stay. Drivenow offers a nice selection of various vehicles to suit your needs for camping and traveling around the area. Be sure and take the time to choose the perfect campervan to hire to ensure a hassle free camping adventure in Perth.

Camp at a Holiday Park

In Perth, you will find quite a few holiday parks that offer you exceptional camping as well as fun activities to be enjoyed during your stay. Some of your best parks for campervan camping include Discovery Holiday Parks and the Coogee Beach Holiday Park both with triple A ratings and other great parks such as Perth Vineyards Holiday Park. Each of these holiday parks offer plenty of sites to park your campervan on as well as a few other camping accommodations.

With The Kids in Mind

While some of the parks around Perth are more for those looking for a quiet and secluded break, there are some really great parks for travelers with kids. The Camp Wattle Grove was built for people to host camps at but they also have some great campervan camping sites for tourists who are just passing thru and their facilities offer plenty of fun for your kids to enjoy. The Central Caravan Park in Perth is another amazing option and is very close to the city for your convenience. With great facilities including a swimming pool and a Laundromat you surely can’t go wrong when choosing to camp at this park. While staying here you can enjoy activities such as fishing in the river not far from the park as well as tours and visits to other nearby attractions as well.

When Taking Your Pet Along

If you are going to be taking your furry friends with you on your camping adventure you should first ensure that the campsite you intend to stay at is pet friendly. Not all campervan camp sites in Perth allow pets and therefore it is necessary to check up on this ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. The Banksia Tourist Park in Hazelmere, Perth is a dog friendly park that happens to be a great option with several spots for campervans. This park has great facilities and amenities and is located in a very beautiful area.

Fall Getaway Trips: Petersham, Central Massachussets

Fall season has come – the winds are getting colder little by little, and the green leaves are starting to show signs of colour change. Soon, all those green canopies will be traded for a beautiful mix of bright yellows and oranges and reds – a grand parade of fall colours just waiting to happen! This is one of the reasons why so many people love this season. That is of course aside from other fall activities, like jumping in a heap of raked leaves or kicking a football against it and watching the leaves explode then fall like snow.

Such activities may seem childish, but they are some of the things that make autumn fun. If on the other hand you are looking for another fall season activity, might I suggest a relaxing and peaceful walk in the quaint and charming town of Petersham in Central Massachusetts?

This lovely place is one of my most recommended because for one, it is not as touristy as the other places in this section of the state, or the whole state for that matter. Thus, you don’t have to jostle your way through throngs of camera toting visitors snapping shots of the beautiful foliage in the area.

So where are the best places to do some leaf peeping in Petersham? Well, almost anywhere in town is good enough, but if you are thinking about a short hiking trip or day walk, then you should definitely head on to North Common Meadow.

North Common Meadow is a vast open space and adjacent to several walking trails and the Brooks Woodland Reserve. Walking in the meadow is a great way to spend the afternoons, as this is when the wind blows gently and the temperature is cooler. Be sure to stay on the path though, and if you’re bringing your kids or your dog make sure they don’t run into the tall grasses lest they step on some ground nesting birds’ home. There is also a lily covered pond nearby where you can watch frogs swimming or basking in the sun.

The Rutland Brook Wildlife Sanctuary offers several hiking trails which make for a great walk under the lovely autumn trees. Contrary to the name, not very many wildlife were spotted by hikers in the area, save for some wild turkeys and beavers and possibly some porcupines.

After the walk, head on to some of Petersham’s best hotels and restaurants – and no, they are not as expensive as others. Three of the most popular are Clamber Hill, Colonial Hill Alpaca Farm, and Winterwood. Here you can enjoy a peaceful retreat and some wonderfully warm meal – perfect for that chilling autumn weather. All these while still in view of the lovely autumn foliage in the inns’ and restaurants’ gardens and front lawn.

Petersham is but a small yet lovely town, and this charm along with the beautiful autumn foliage makes it a top destination every fall.
